An Overview of DI8-O4 Module

DI8-O4 is abbreviated as it has 8 Digital Input and 4 Digital Output.

DI8-O4 modules are innovative which provides a simple low-cost solution for distributed I/O requirements. The IO system consists of stand-alone Digital Input/output which are connected together on a RS485 two wire multi-drop network. The modules communicate using the MODBUS RTU protocol. A 32-Bit ARM controller is used in the modules to provide high speed data processing and fast communications turnaround times. Standard Baudrate selected is 115200 bits/second. All IO modules plug directly on to an industry standard DIN rail. All inputs have minimum isolation of 2500 VRMS and outputs have 5kV. The modules have been equipped with status LED’s which are used to indicate the status of Inputs or outputs. This visual indication assists with fault finding and diagnostics.
